As with all journeys, there is always the start, middle and finish. Well the July edition of CIO East Africa is a special. It sets the mood of marking the 10th Anniversary of CIO East Africa while highlighting about three major starts and progresses made in varied tech sectors transforming the economies. In the lead article, the rigours and leap Kenya made in laying down the infrastructure that enhanced the pace of today’s digital era. It further highlights about the initial cashless economy and the changes being experienced today’s in evolving Fintech Space. This is timely considering CIO East Africa held its premier Fintech Summit in Nairobi where delegates deliberated on not replacing cash but ensuring whatever it takes over is not physical and the systems around currency changes in favour of progressive change.
