More industry players join the 2019 CIO100 sponsorship wagon

The biggest platform that recognizes and honors the best performing technology professionals in the East African region.

Delegates follow through discussions at a past CIO100 forum in Naivasha, Kenya.

With exactly 8 days left to the 2019 East African Regional CIO100 Summit and Awards, more industry players have confirmed their sponsorship for the eleventh version of the Summit and Awards.

Themed: ‘Harnessing Innovation in the Age of Automation’, the three-day event shall run from the 20th to the 22nd November 2019 at the Lake Naivasha Resort and will host a sea of C-Level IT professionals from across the East African region.

“The CIO 100 Symposium and Awards is the most powerful gathering of CIOs and senior IT and business executives in East Africa,” said Laura Chite, CEO CIO East Africa. Adding; ” It is the place to forge new partnerships, network with IT industry peers, learn and gain unparalleled inspiration.”

Tracom joined Swvl, Tripplitte, Ernst & Young and Sophos to confirm their commitment towards the annual event in its 11th year running.

The annual Symposium and  Awards provides a unique opportunity to connect the industry; a place to meet decision makers and the top leaders of IT in East Africa. Delegates get to participate in deep dive sessions that will assist in crafting the next technology acquisition and deployment and network and exchange information thus developing professional and/ or social contacts.

Aligned for speaking at the summit is Joe Mucheru, the Cabinet Secretary for ICT in Kenya, who will officially declare the summit open.

Also speaking shall be Julius Kipng’etich, CEO JUbilee Insurance, Herbert Olowo, the CIO at Stanbic Bank of Uganda, Kate Krukiel, the Managing Director at Sera Africa,  Pauline Warui, the Founder – East Africa Customer Care Centre and Elizabeth Moreno, Managing Director at HP Africa among others.

The event shall be kickstarted by a women in technology forum, #Hernovation, on the 20th November and will be characterized by top-notch tech discussions mostly skewed towards automation in this age and the technologies that would enhance it. It will be climaxed by the Gala Dinner and an Award ceremony, whence the best industry projects get recognized and honored.

The best regional Chief Information Officer for the year 2019 shall also be announced at the Awards session to bag the trophy currently held by George Njuguna, CIO Safaricom PLC, formerly CIO at HF Bank.
