Exterity to showcase in-stadium IP video, digital signage solutions at Stadium Business Summit

Exterity, announced its debut participation at the Stadium Business Summit (Madrid, 31 May – 2 June 2016). Exterity will demonstrate to stadium owners, consultants and system integrators how its enterprise IP video system with built-in digital signage transforms the in-stadium video experience and fan engagement.

The Exterity IP video portfolio enables stadiums and venues to deliver high quality live-action coverage, news and sports programming throughout the venue to keep visitors engaged and involved wherever they are. Used extensively in hospitality suites, the Exterity system helps create a personalized TV and video experience for VIP guests. Built-in digital signage also supports the venue’s promotional activities and is used to provide visitor information, concession advertising, fan merchandising offers, announcements of scheduled events and emergency information, or to support kiosks for self-service tickets sales. Automatic recording of event coverage enables playback for team analysis of all the action.

Explaining the importance of video in stadiums, Exterity CEO Colin Farquhar said: “From VIP rooms to public areas, video is pervading every part of the stadium experience. The systems used to distribute video need to adapt to the specialist demands of each sport. For example, stadiums hosting football games need a system that can easily deliver immediate replays of action on the field, while horseracing and golf tournaments need to provide real-time, low latency streaming of the action as it happens across their larger, spread out venue. This is the core strength of our system, which combines robustness with scalability and adaptability to ensure that each venue can optimize the use of video to make the fan experience even more memorable.”

Exterity works with a large number of stadiums and venues hosting athletics, horseracing, football, cycling, golf, rugby and tennis competitions around the world to help them incorporate video into the in-stadium experience. Customers include football stadiums such as Celtic Park Stadium, PSV Eindhoven Philips Stadium and four of the stadiums hosting the upcoming European football championship in France, including Stade Pierre Mauroy and the Stade Vélodrome, as well as The Open golf championship and the Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney.
