Cellulant Pens Sponsorship For 2021 Regional Fintech Summit

With exactly 7 days left to the fifth edition of the East Africa Regional Fintech Summit, Cellulant has confirmed its commitment to sponsor the 2-day event, slated for the 20th and 21st May 2021.

Running under the theme; ‘Building Tomorrow’s Fintechs’, the summit is about the transformation witnessed in the financial services industry with the rapid digitisation and emerging technologies.

“Advances in Fintech give businesses power to apply new processes, products, and working models
in the financial services industry,” said Laura Chite, CEO CIO East Africa, adding, “Regional Fintechs and industry leaders will converge to discourse on the technology best-practices to facilitate this shift.”

Technology has proven to benefit sectors such as banking, insurance, financial information, payments, investments, financing advisory, and cross-process support if applied ethically.

Cellulant is a leading Pan-African technology company connecting people and their resources, making it easier to do business across. They provide a single digital payments platform – Tingg- enabling businesses to seamlessly accept payments from their customers across Africa.

At this year’s event, Cellulant will showcase its innovations and digital payments platform, tailor-made for the African financial space.

“We are excited to be part of this conversation and contributing to the knowledge on a growing sector in Africa. At Cellulant, we are increasingly focusing our energy on innovating around a digital payments platform that helps all businesses across Africa to digitize faster,” says Divine Muragijimana, Group Head of Brand Marketing and Communication. “While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on African economies, this crisis has also become the single most significant catalyst for a digital transformation. Events and conversations such as this is one the many steps we need to take in aiding this transformation.”

The speakers – thought leaders and senior figures within the financial services industry – will present key and trending topics throughout the 2 days, examining regulations, technologies and trends that are shaping the regional fintech industry. They will discuss the implementation of technology in the world of finance and payments, especially in East Africa while attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers and take part in the live Q&A sessions, in the comfort of their homes.
