AWS Joins Heads With CIO EA For CSS Summit

When the word cloud comes to mind, somebody that is not used to the connotations of what the term entails would be baffled. Yes, essentially, cloud is what you would perceive it to be. It is the delivery of on-demand computing services from applications to storage and processing power, typically over the internet and on a pay-as-you-go basis.

One major benefit of migrating to cloud computing services is that firms can avoid the upfront cost and complexity of owning and maintaining their own IT infrastructure, and instead simply pay for what they use, when they use it.

In turn, providers of cloud computing services can benefit from significant economies of scale by delivering the same services to a wide range of customers. The delivery of these services is the realm in which AWS dwells.

With the way in which cloud computing underpins a number of services, one aspect it is battling to underpin is security. How and where does security come in? Cloud security refers to the technologies, policies, controls, and services that protect cloud data, applications, and infrastructure from threats.

AWS has significantly more services, and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider–from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases–to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. At the upcoming Cloud and Security Summit, they will showcase their cloud services and how they can keep up with the security demands.

The virtual Cloud and Security Forum 2020 is designed to assist in driving an impartial and informed dialogue in the rapidly evolving information security industry.

Having continued to create an environment for making new connections, the summit with visionary speakers at the nexus of new technologies and cyber security solutions purposes to share their insights and demonstrate their ability to safeguard customer data.
