Having a website has since become a norm for any business entity, organization or company that wants to have presence worldwide. The putting up of a website is the first, and you can say ‘simple’ task. The real work comes in the managing of the website.
This is why a team of web specialists and business entrepreneurs from SavvyAfrica, a web based solution provider company, are holding a four day (5th – 8th July, 2011) workshop in Nairobi, to enlighten corporates on how they can take control of their websites.
Dubbed “1st ActiveWeb”, the workshop is focused to enable the participants learn how to better manage their website content through joomla, website optimization, e-marketing and handling of social networks.
“SavvyAfrica has been supporting various company websites for a while and saw the need to train employees to better manage their own content platform”, says David Tuikong, the CEO SavvyAfrica Limited.
Websites must be optimized for speed and performance, because clunky, slow pages hurt business. They repel users, dilute the effectiveness of advertising, weaken sales conversions, damage brands and increase bandwidth, hosting and IT maintenance costs.
