Last Saturday, Nairobi’s Bishop Magua Gardens gave a chance to techies with different skills and knowledge in the ICT field to meet, share and have fun. Right from the entrance, huge awesome screens were stationed at specific points to the comfy furniture layout and a beautiful coffee bar at the corner that served snacks at an affordable price. Ihub, in conjunction with other sponsors namely, Span image, meccer, D-link, nexgen and Kalahari facilitated the success of this forum which brought together a clique of geeks and gamers.
The day started by setting up the systems and preparation of the different pools especially for the FiFa tournament though later on the officials decided to change it to a knock out league. Brian Orina and Winston played the first preliminary match, while Gordon Beim, a former engineering student from Moi University played the toughest game seen against Eric Owuor in this category. Tim Muinga, the defending champion of the National Preliminaries tournament held in June, took the final win against Owuor, both technologists from Moi University.

Feroz Mohammed, from Gamerover a group of techies and gamers in Nairobi, won the Starcraft battle and was awarded a TFT screen which is to be delivered by Kalahari in the course of the week. There were also various winners for Tekken, Call of Duty, and boxing which were played on Xbox. Nintendo Wii got the lowest rating as a gaming console from a couple of analysts and gamers in the event.

According to the reviews, the event was a success in various ways; the show up was great, the bonding and playing together too was successful. The place was tech stuffed and at the end of the day people exchanged contacts and ideas especially on having new setups for gamers in future.
