Samsung on Tuesday rolled out a countrywide Samsung free service campaign, where Samsung product users will be offered free service check up for their products.
The campaign will see Samsung users in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu receive free after sales service for both In and Out of warranty products.
The campaign also targets Samsung consumers far from the main service points and is meant to ensure their products receive the attention and service required to enhance their life span.
Samsung's Head of Service, East & Central Africa, Koki Muia said, "The free service campaign is an extension of the outstanding Service offered at the authorized centers but brought nearer for ease and comfort of consumers,"

Muia added, "In line with offering full service quality, today's consumers are looking not only to buy products but expect that these products be serviced, enhanced and upgraded at a center that is manned fully by a trained team for both software upgrades as well as technical support"

At the same time, Samsung has opened two new service centers at the Hilton Hotel Arcade in Nairobi and in Mombasa along Digo Road. These, a first in the two main cities are geared to meet the needs of Hand held product consumers within the Central Business District.

Speaking while launching the campaign in Nairobi, Muia said the Samsung warranty guarantees 12 months for hand held products and up to 2 years for majority of the Consumer Electronic products, manufacturers' limited warranty on any Samsung product and is offered from the date of purchase of the original product by the first end user.

Muia added that plans are underway to establish more service points in other cities in Kenya as well as the remote areas to quickly be at hand to service and support our customers at all times

The launch of the service centre's comes at a time when Samsung has shifted its attention to Africa, as the company strives to grow its market share across mobile and consumer electronics segments.
