Pwani Oil adopts Oracle e-Business suite Peter Nalika
Pwani Oil Products Limited, manufacturers of edible oils, fat and laundry bar soaps in the East Africa region, has adopted a business technology solution from software company – Oracle that would enable the company streamline its operations.
The Oracle Business Accelerators for E-Business Suite solution – will help Pwani to achieve its goal of streamlining their business processes, improving management of customer and supplier information, improving data accuracy, maintaining and adhering to quality requirements and to achieve manufacturing excellence.
Oracle Kenya country manager Tina Patel believes that Pwani’s move will help them boost their market share within a competitive and volatile economic climate.
“Edible oil manufacturers, like many companies, face increasing pressure to remain distinct and competitive within their crowded market, therefore access to fast, reliable data is crucial to drive and support sustainable growth. Oracle Kenya has worked hard to bring these to the region and are pleased to see Pwani choosing Oracle to support their business goals,” said Patel.
“The implementation signifies a period of change and transformation for Pwani. This is an excellent opportunity for executing the cultural transformation in the world of business and for turning Pwani into an enterprise that is professionally managed,” says Pwani CEO Peter Beard.
“These systems also enable a company to predict the demand of the market based on history, economic statistics, and data from their employees. This technological revolution will further facilitate processes within the company to ensure the company achieves its prospects to expand its market share and meet corporate objectives,” he added.
Oracle value added reseller, Fusion Information Services, proposed the system.
“Oracle's Business Accelerators for Oracle E-Business Suite allow customers to get the lowest possible total cost of ownership, with tested and robust best-practice business processes. They can rely on a solution that enables growth and offers enterprise-strength functionality and gain the flexibility to continue adding modules after the initial use of Oracle Business Accelerators,” said Trevor Allman of Fusion.
