With a view to extend the Christmas cheer during upcoming festive season, integrated telecommunications services provider Telkom Kenya has slashed the cost of devices and introduced bonus offers on its services.

Announcing the launch of the Christmas offers, CEO Mickael Ghossein said the company has reduced the cost of a wide range of its devices by up to 40%, in a move aimed at rewarding loyal customers and attracting new ones during this period.

“Despite the rising rates of inflation and cost of living, we have had a relatively good year with over 100% increase in our subscriber base - as a result of implementing our growth strategy effectively. It is only fair that we share our success by rewarding our customers,” he said.

Ghossein added that customers who buy middle and high end phones will get a reward of 1 GB worth of data, to be distributed evenly over a five month period while the purchase of entry level handsets will be bundled with talk time valued at KSh. 200, over a similar period.

To enable customers to enjoy reliable and faster internet speeds, Orange will be offering its popular Internet Everywhere 21 Mbps (3G) modem at a 40% discount that will see the device retail for Kshs 1,799.

Other data offers include the D-Link wireless router with modem retailing for KSh.6,690 down from KSh. 7,890, while small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) can purchase the newly launched Orange Flybox retailing at KSh. 16,999, complete with a free fixed telephone set.

“We remain consistent with our promise to offer value for money and that is why we have specifically targeted some of our flagship devices for this festive offer,” Ghossein added.

Ghossein also expressed optimism that with the New Year, customers will continue to enjoy an unmatched level of Quality of Service, improved customer care and innovative solutions designed to meet the ever dynamic customer needs.

The Christmas promotion is available at Orange shops and the company’s preferred partners countrywide. The two month promotion runs from 4th November 2011 to 4th January 2012.
