Mfi Enterprise Solutions, a leading Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solution provider company today signed a partnership deal with Polaris Software Lab Limited, the experts of retail banking and solution architects. The partnership deal, signed at Nairobi’s Serena Hotel, is aimed at pulling their intellect and resources together as leaders in the financial technology niche.  Aadil Tharani, Mfi Enterprise Solutions Managing Director says that the drive of a country’s economy is the banking and financial sector and therefore there is a need for them to partner with Polaris who have the financial technology capability to handle issues like fraud management especially in the banking industry of East Africa.
Paul Kukubo, CEO, Kenya ICT Board, who was also present for the function, said that the partnership between these two companies should be an opportunity for Kenya to become an investment hub.  He said that the ICT Board has endorsed Mfi and Polaris to carry out their operations and provide room for training to the Kenyan market on technical knowhow.

Kukubo urged the two companies to also come up with software solutions for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya. Polaris as a solution provider is targeting emerging economies like India, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and the East Africa as a whole with Nairobi as the headquarters. They specialize in internet banking, fraud and risk management and other financial based solutions. The company, together with Mfi, has strategies to provide training to the local market and come up with skill sets and also have OpEx modules to clients.

P K Das, the General Manager, Polaris, says that they are investing on data centres which will provide employment opportunities and have a major contribution to the Information Technology space.
