LG unveils Internet compatible DVD Player Zachary Ochieng
Korean electronics Giant LG has released a DVD player which gives owners an option of viewing movies directly from the Internet. Owners of the Blu-ray built-in WiFi enabled BD570 can connect to the Internet and watch movies from YouTube, as an addition to the traditional movies that come on discs.
It can also download photos from a Picasa Web Album to a small computer screen and putting them onto a large High Definition (HD) TV.The DVD can also connect through Wi-Fi, to computers on a home network allowing families to access their digital media libraries composed of music, movies, or home videos.
According to the LG Regional Marketing Manager George Mudhune, the BD570 can also be connected directly to an external USB hard drives or thumb drives to play high definition DivX and MKV movies.
“The BD570, which is the latest Blu-ray player, offers limitless content through Wi-Fi. It provides convenient access to entertainment from the web or home network”, said Mudhune.
The audio-video DVD can access from the Internet include information on the local and global weather forecasts, said Mudhune.
