Integrated telecommunications services provider Orange has launched the iPhone 4S into the Kenyan market.
Speaking during the launch of the high end device at the company’s flagship shop – Orange Mega in Nairobi, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Angela Ng’ang’a-Mumo said that the launch was consistent with the company’s brand promise of providing innovative product and services, that are relevant to its market segments and add to the value proposition of its customers.

The Apple iPhone rangee, continues to offer excellent variety and versatility that enables customers to embrace the advantages and opportunities offered by an increasingly evolving digital world.” said Ms. Mumo. “
The iPhone 4S has a high capacity battery as well as allowing the user to run multiple applications. The iconic phone comes with a 3.5-inch, 960 x 640-pixel widescreen multi-touch retina display. It is packed with incredible new features including Apple’s dual-core A5 chip for fast performance and stunning graphics. It spots the new iOS 5 operating system, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features. Its 8-MP camera has a larger aperture, a custom lens, advanced hybrid infrared filter and face detection feature. Users will be able to record videos in 1080p HD and also use the front facing VGA camera for video chatting.
Another first from Apple featured in the iPhone 4S is the new voice-activated personal assistant, Siri. This feature enables a user to query for information by voice, such as the location of the nearest restaurant, hospital, ATM and so on. The voice-activated personal assistant can also be used to make phone calls, send messages, schedule meetings and set reminders.

The iPhone 4S is available in either black or white and will retail at KSh 74,899 for the 16 GB model, , KSh 87,999 for the 32 GB model and KSh 101,499 for the 64 GB model.
The iPhone 4S will be available at select Orange shops and partner outlets as from today.
