InMobi mobile advertising workshop in Nairobi CIO East Africa Writer

InMobi, the world's largest independent mobile advertising network, is embarking on a tour with several of its senior executives including Isis Nyong'o (Vice President and Managing Director, Africa).
InMobi's Mobile Insights event series runs from 24 September to 11 October 2011 in 5 cities across the continent: Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The goal of Mobile Insights is to engage directly with stakeholders in the mobile industry to share insights on the role mobile advertising plays in growing the overall ecosystem. Participants will include advertisers, agencies, operators, publishers and developers attending a mixture of workshops and developer meet ups. The events will focus on topics ranging from local and international mobile trends, mobile advertising and opportunities with InMobi in Africa.

The Nairobi event on 04 October 2011 will be hosted at the Sankara Nairobi Hotel from 14:00 and Erik Hersman, veteran mobile evangelist who is also a TED Senior & PopTech Fellow with a hugely popular blog White African be the guest speaker. The event allows attendees the opportunity to actively debate the movements and trends in the African mobile industry with a specific focus on mobile advertising.

"InMobi is excited about the prospect of face to face meetings with agencies and developers in key markets in Africa. There is huge potential within the mobile advertising space on the continent and it is critical for us to understand what our stakeholders are looking for," says Nyong'o.
