First ever Cisco expo set to kick off in Kenya CIO Staff Writer
Cisco will be hosting its first ever expo in Kenya on Tuesday 28th June and Wednesday 29th of June 2011 at the Kenyatta International Conference Center, Nairobi.
The event, themed ‘Collaboration and Virtualization beyond borders’ is expected to bring together around 500 top decision makers in Kenya, over the 2 days, to discuss and experience the latest and most innovative technology trends that will transform and drive the success for businesses in Kenya.
Cisco Expo Kenya 2011 will comprise a series of in-depth sessions, over the 2 days, delivered by senior Cisco executives from around the Africa Levant region. Guest keynote speaker on Tuesday 28th June 2011 will be Dr Bitange Ndemo, permanent secretary, Kenya’s Ministry of Information and Communication. Shahab Meshki General Manager for Cisco in Kenya will open the Expo with an overview of Cisco’s strategy and focus for the East African market and Pim Versteeg, vice president for Cisco’s Africa and Levant region also give a keynote.
Dedicated technical and business breakout sessions will focus on the latest developments in Cisco Unified Communications, Collaboration, data center evolution, mobility, security as well as financial challenges and country transformation.
For the first time ever in Kenya, attendees will be able to experience Cisco’s TelePresence® solution which offers a live, face-to-face experience that enables people from different offices and cities around the world to meet virtually using the power of the network.
For attendees, Cisco Expo Kenya will offer more numerous business educational sessions including the keynote, business and technical sessions and several engaging and unique technology solution demonstrations from Cisco, and its strategic partners, in the ‘World of Solutions’ exhibition area
