The CIO Golf tournament is one of the many events hosted by CIO East Africa. This year’s event was held at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club last Friday, 15 April. The event brought together sports men and women with a common goal and passion for golf.

Swift Global, a Kenyan based ISP and official sponsors of the event, received the top golf players of the day award won by K.D Mbatia who scored a total of 39 points. Up to 70% of Swift Global clients turned up for the event and the company hopes to increase its network and awareness of the internet and data products they offer to market.

“We hope that the clients we interacted with will transform into sales and hopeful achieve a return on investment after a period of time,” says Justus Ndana, Chief Marketing Officer, Swift Global.

On second place was John Kaniaru and Izaiah Nderitu who had a tie of 37 points. Sam Ngugi  and Rapheal Lekolool who also got awarded represented ProTech as their clients, another sponsor of the event. Florence Wacuka took the CIO golf lady winner award.

“The tournament was well organized, and it attracted a good number of players,” says Emmanuel Kimeu, managing director Professional Technologies ltd (ProTec). ProTech provides endpoint security protection, firewall solutions, network access controls and also offer ICT security policy advisory and consultancy services.
