Airtel offers more incentives to Airtel Money users CIO East Africa Writer

Airtel Money is now offering its prepaid customers a 50% bonus airtime if they choose to buy airtime to top up their lines or other Airtel lines via Airtel Money. The company is also offering free payment services on Airtel Money including water and electricity bill payments.
In a statement, Airtel Kenya Chief Operating Officer, Bhargava ,emphasized that Airtel Kenya believes in the delivery of innovative and relevant solutions that tackle consumer's daily challenges and playing an important role in bolstering Kenya's economy through communication and mobile commerce.
He added that the company will also put emphasis on the education of its customers on the benefits of using Airtel Money mobile commerce solutions emphasizing that the product that uses the Kiswahili tagline 'pesa mkononi' laterally translated to mean "Airtel money puts money into your hands" will continue to offer locally relevant and simplified solutions that its Kenya consumers can readily relate to in their daily lives in our true spirit; our true Kenyan spirit.

The recently re-launched and revamped Airtel Money service with a simplified easy to use menu that makes it easy to access and use the e-commerce solutions including online payments with its one time debit card, Pay Online that enables customers to shop and pay goods and services on the internet and online banking. Airtel Money also offers utility bill payments with Kenya Power, DSTV, and Nairobi Water FREE of charge from the convenience of your office or house. Customers on Airtel Money can also enjoy the convenience of paying for their Kenya Airways flight tickets directly from their phones.

The service access points to Airtel Money has also been made easier with the increase and build up of an extensive agent network that include all Nakumatt Branches countrywide, selected Uchumi and Posta branches, Faulu branches, Pesapoint ATMs, selected Equity Agent outlets where customers can now top up and withdraw cash from their Airtel Money accounts.

Airtel Money has signed up close to 350 business partners who provide various services including bulk payments, collection accounts and super dealerships.

Through Airtel Money, customers can send a minimum of Kes 50.00 at Kes 5 per transaction to a maximum Kes 70,000 at only Kshs.25/- per transaction. Customers can also send money to mobile subscribers on other networks across Kenya at only Kshs25/- per transaction.

Customers can pay for their parking fees at KAPS parking points at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, (JKIA), Yaya Center, Westgate Mall, the Junction Mall and at the Sarit Centre Mall in Nairobi using Airtel Money

Customers with accounts at Standard Chartered, Housing Finance, Co-operative Bank and Faulu Kenya are able to access their funds directly from their bank accounts to their Airtel Money accounts and vice versa.
