Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Information and Communication Hon. Engineer James Rege (Second Left) and Computer Society of Kenya Chairman Dr. Waudo Siganga (left) present the Outstanding MPLS Service Provider Award to AccessKenya’s Navin Satish (second right) and Eddie Ongaro.

AccessKenya Group was on Tuesday night feted at the Kenya ICT Awards Gala Dinner as the 2011 Outstanding MPLS service provider.
The Award, which recognized the company's effective networking solutions, has further elevated the ISP's profile as business IT solutions provider even as it continues to diversify its product and service offering in the Kenyan ICT market.
Remarking on the award, AccessKenya Group Managing Director - Internet Division - Kris Senanu said the company is continuously adopting newer and versatile technologies in a bid to add more value to its clientele and attract more numbers in the future.

"The future of this industry lies in innovation and as a market leader in Corporate Internet and IT solutions, we are fully cognizant of this reality and that's why we keep responding to the market needs with tailored business solutions," said Kris Senanu.

"The MPLS service we offer is very versatile and our customers have repeatedly lauded our solutions; and this gives us confidence to even pursue greater opportunities for them," Senanu added.

MPLS for Multi Protocol Label Switching is a networking technology that extends communications across multiple business locations. These solutions enable clients to prioritize voice or data through quality of service (QoS) levels, based on their unique business requirements.

"Our networking services provide a private, secure multi-site connection built across the core MPLS advanced IP network, and also feature service level guarantees for latency, jitter and packet loss," explained Raymond Macharia, AccessKenya Group Chief Technical officer.
