APC extends Kenyan field education programme Zachary Ochieng

Global leader in critical power and cooling services, APC by Schneider Electric has extended its field education programme in Kenya, launched at the end of 2009, based on very positive feedback from local resellers.

The field education programme was launched last year to establish a skilled team that is dedicated to its resellers in Kenya, with the key focus to increase the number of active APC resellers locally and to support and assist them in increasing sales. The APC education team includes sales representatives and field sales people to strengthen sales in Kenya. The sales representatives are building relationships and setting up meetings for APC account managers in order to proactively increase purchases and drive project detection by telemarketing, while the field sales people are tasked with growing APC’s market share through the development of its reseller customer base.

Says Giuseppe Candito, channel marketing and programs director for Africa at APC at Schneider Electric: “Based on the success we have seen in Kenya thus far with the programme, APC is pleased that its investment into the development of the local channel is helping APC resellers to develop sales and expand the APC product footprint in the region. We are currently running promotions where resellers are encouraged to purchase a Smart-UPS with each server that is bought from a distributor and are hoping that these incentives bring even great achievements to this programme.”
