Sevenseas Technologies has been named this year’s Cisco Service Provider Partner for Emerging African Markets. The award was given during Cisco’s 15th annual Partner Summit in New Orleans, and recognizes Cisco top performing partners who have made a mark in their line of business. Sevenseas Technologies was feted for delivering proven ICT enterprise and service provision solutions.

Among the emerging markets in Africa, SST was named alongside Copy Cat who were awarded for Video excellence and Redington who got an award for specialized distributor respectively.

Commenting on the recognition, Sevenseas Group CEO Michael Macharia said the provision of excellent service to customers was a key plank in SSTs business strategy locally and in the region.

He said: “This recognition is further demonstration of the capacity by SST to develop locally relevant ICT solutions that can used to make a difference in the lives of Kenyans,”

Mr Macharia   said that Cisco partners are recognized on the prestigious and coveted Cisco Partner Locator platform, allowing them to differentiate themselves from competitors and providing the opportunity to enter into new markets.

ATP Program Cisco Partner Manager, East Africa Mr Shain Rahim said that SST had demonstrated a desire to develop expertise in this market.

"Cisco will continue to assist its partners in Africa to build flexible, scalable, and secure ICT networks and solutions that deliver profitable services for sustainable success of the partners," Mr Rahim said.

More than 50 Partners from Emerging Markets attended the New Orleans summit to network and gain more insight from Cisco’s leaders about the latest technology and industry trends, and learn more about the company’s strategic direction.
