In the most attractive offer yet amongst all local telecom operators, Telkom Kenya has extended a more than 50% price reduction on its Orange Internet Everywhere 3G+ modem throughout the festive season.   Speaking when he confirmed the special limited period offer, Telkom Kenya chief Executive officer Mr Mickael Ghossein said the firm had taken a strategic decision to lower the access devices cost by more than half for one month to facilitate more internet uptake within the mass market segment.   Following the reduction, the Orange Internet Everywhere 3G+ modem loaded with more 25MB worth of free data downloads will now retail at a special price of Kshs. 1,999 ($26)down from its normal price of Kshs 3,990 ($53).

The firm Ghossein added had also sealed a partnership deal with FoneXpress a leading personal computers retailer to provide affordable deals on laptops. Selected branded laptops with prices starting from Kshs 22,999 bought from FoneXpress outlets will come loaded with a free Orange Internet Everywhere modems.
