Family bank has launched MKODI, a mobile phone application to provide house owners in Nairobi's Donholm and Pipeline estates,a hassle free way to collect rent.
Based on MPESA mobile payment platform, tenants will be able to deposit rent to their landlord accounts using a unique code and receive a personalized payment
notification from Family Bank.
Using this service, Family Bank attempts to make it easier for rental house owners and their tenants use mobile payment applications for efficiency to run rent transaction, it targets the growing human population and real estate in this part of Nairobi. With significant expansion of mobile phones in the country, banks are coming on board to provide such services because of affordability, accessibility and availability of mobile communications technology.
