Dimension Data, specialist IT services and solution provider, will showcase business-enabling technologies and discuss macro market trends and developments at the fourth annual ITEX event.
The thought leadership symposium aims to educate CIOs and IT managers on technologies that will enable them to do more with less. These include virtualization and various other IT consumption models such as cloud computing.
ITEX 2011 will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday 27 October 2011, commencing at 09h00. It will once again offer a real time, borderless collaborative experience to delegates in Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Kampala by leveraging the power of visual communications.
Going by the theme “propelling your business into the future” the event is expected to expose attendees with the latest technological trends that will propel their businesses into the future.
“Propelling your business into the future is aligned to Dimension Data’s strapline ‘Accelerate your Ambition’. Accelerate conveys speed, a sense of urgency, pushing the boundaries and moving to the next level,” commented Joseph Kairigo, Managing Director, Dimension Data East Africa.
A number of insightful keynote presentations will be delivered during the conference by leading experts in the ICT space including Paul Kukubo, CEO, Kenya ICT Board and Mayan Mathen, Chief Technology Officer, Dimension Data Middle East and Africa.
This year's ITEX conference will cover topics on managing the network and infrastructure, securing the cloud, security and connectivity, and trends that have revolutionised all aspects of people lives. Consumer-driven trends such as mobility, cloud computing and IT outsourcing will also come under the spotlight as these are having a massive impact on both the IT industry and IT departments within organisations.
“These technologies can no longer be ignored and have to be incorporated into enterprise infrastructures. Not only have these trends rewritten the script of modern business, they have become almost inevitable, and as the largest ICT company in Middle East and Africa, we feel it is our role to help organisations respond to these challenges,” said Kairigo.
