The fifth annual AITEC banking and mobile money COMESA conference dubbed “Innovation for a new era of financial inclusion and regional integration” has began today at KICC Nairobi. This event seeks to engage with banks as they exhibit and share experiences on news services available through a wide range of new payment technologies. The event is well attended by manufacturers and vendors who are demonstrating their latest products and systems that are enhancing East Africa’s rapidly growing financial sector.

Bankers throughout the continent are having to rethink the quality of services they provide to accommodate the new era of mobile money that has empowered customers, who now decide on service delivery models that will serve their needs and cost expectations.

In line with this trend, conference presenters will focus on giving insights into key trends surrounding mobile money including latest development in mobile banking, aggregation and integration challenges in mobile money, mobile e-commerce implementation, risk management, mobile banking technologies…to mention but a few.
This event is a two-day conference which will provide valuable education for the financial sector CIOs, CXOs and IS managers on best practices in IT project deployment and latest trends in payment technologies.
