Yes it is true, Safaricom is a disruptive force and the sooner those in the information field realise this, the sooner they can begin planning their survival.A disruptive organisation is one which comes into an existing industry and changes the norms and habits that the existing providers and consumers had become accustomed.When MJ and his band of merry men arrived on the scene we compartmentalised them as a voice service provider who had come to challenge a monolith called Telkom. When Kencell joined the fray we prematurely wrote off Safaricom, but when Mpesa was unveiled we all had to stand and take notice that the none-voice domain was about to get a flogging of a lifetime.
