Even as the East Africa region prepares to enjoy the enormous bandwidth from the submarine cables connecting it to the international gateways, issues of security will be the only puzzle to unriddle since even the big brothers like USA, Britain and Asia where sophistication of technology is an everyday development are not excluded.And as one of the preventive measures, countries in the EAC bloc are preparing legislative bills like Data Protection Bill, e-Commerce Bill to insulate themselves from the usual cybercrimes that have paralyzed most operations between organizations due to hacking.
